The Senate on Tuesday, February 4, appointed the Senator representing Delta South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Joel Onowakpo - Thomas as Chairman, Senate Committee on Local Content.
Special Adviser on Local Content to Senator Joel Onowakpo - Thomas, Ogbegbe Misan, who broke the news this evening in a telephone chat with Fresh Angle International, described the appointment as fitting and timely.
Ogbegbe, posited that his Principal, Senator Joel Onowakpo - Thomas, has a pedigree of developing local content, potential entrepreneurs and advancing human capacity.
Whilst expressing excitement with the appointment, Ogbegbe, assured the Senate leadership and people of Delta South that the former Chairman of Delta State Board of Internal Revenue, DBIR, will sustain his delivery of quality legislation and oversight.
He prayed God to continually endow the Senator with unassailable wisdom and vision in his resolve to attract the much needed progress and development to Delta South in particular and Delta State as a whole.
